The ROG Delta 2 is a premium wireless gaming headset from ASUS that offers high-quality sound, tri-mode connectivity, a detachable microphone, and long battery life.
It is designed for gamers who want reliable performance across multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
ROG Delta 2 Overview
The ASUS ROG Delta 2 is part of the Republic of Gamers (ROG) lineup, which focuses on high-performance gaming accessories. The headset combines modern wireless technology with premium audio hardware to deliver an immersive gaming experience.
Unlike many gaming headsets that support only one wireless connection, the ROG Delta 2 offers three connection methods. Users can switch between ultra-low latency 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and a standard 3.5mm wired connection depending on their needs.
This flexibility makes the headset suitable for gaming, music, video calls, and everyday entertainment.
Key Features
The ROG Delta 2 includes several premium features that improve both sound quality and convenience.
Tri-Mode Connectivity
One of the biggest highlights is its tri-mode connectivity, which includes:
- 2.4GHz wireless
- Bluetooth
- 3.5mm wired connection
The 2.4GHz wireless mode provides a stable connection with low latency, making it ideal for competitive gaming. Bluetooth allows users to connect smartphones, tablets, and laptops without additional accessories. The wired option is useful when the battery is low or when connecting to devices without wireless support.
DualFlow Audio
The headset supports DualFlow Audio, allowing users to hear audio from two devices simultaneously.
For example, a gamer can connect the headset to a PC through the wireless receiver while remaining connected to a smartphone through Bluetooth. This allows incoming phone calls without disconnecting from the game.
Premium Audio Drivers
The ROG Delta 2 features 50mm titanium-plated diaphragm drivers that deliver rich and detailed sound.
The drivers are designed to produce:
- Deep bass
- Clear vocals
- Balanced mid-range
- Crisp high frequencies
This makes the headset suitable not only for gaming but also for music, movies, and streaming content.
High-Quality Microphone
The detachable 10mm wideband boom microphone provides clear voice quality during online gaming and video calls.
The microphone captures natural speech while reducing unwanted background noise, making communication easier during multiplayer games.
RGB Lighting
Like many products in the Republic of Gamers lineup, the Delta 2 includes customizable RGB lighting.
Users can personalize lighting effects through ASUS Armoury Crate software or disable RGB completely to maximize battery life.
Design and Build Quality
The ROG Delta 2 features a modern gaming design with premium materials.
The headset has a lightweight frame that weighs approximately 318 grams, helping reduce fatigue during long gaming sessions.
The headband provides balanced pressure, while the ear cups fit comfortably around the ears without excessive clamping force.
The overall build quality feels solid and durable, making it suitable for daily use.
Comfort During Long Gaming Sessions
Comfort is one of the headset’s strongest features.
The package includes two sets of ergonomic D-shaped ear cushions.
The ear cushions use soft materials that remain comfortable during extended gameplay while also improving passive noise isolation.
The lightweight design helps reduce pressure on the neck, making the headset comfortable even after several hours of use.
Audio Performance
Sound quality is one of the most important factors when choosing a gaming headset, and the ROG Delta 2 performs well in this area.
The headset produces detailed sound across different frequency ranges.
Bass remains powerful without overpowering the mids, while dialogue and in-game voices stay clear.
High frequencies are sharp without becoming uncomfortable.
This balanced tuning makes the headset suitable for various genres, including:
- First-person shooters
- Racing games
- RPGs
- Adventure games
- Music
- Movies
Gaming Experience
During gameplay, positional audio plays an important role.
The ROG Delta 2 helps players identify the direction of footsteps, gunfire, vehicles, and environmental sounds more accurately.
Competitive players can benefit from improved directional awareness in multiplayer games.
The low-latency wireless connection also reduces audio delay, providing a more responsive gaming experience.
Music and Entertainment
Although designed for gaming, the headset performs well for music and movies.
Songs have clear vocals and balanced instruments, while action movies benefit from powerful bass and immersive sound effects.
Users who switch between gaming and entertainment will appreciate the headset’s versatile audio profile.
Microphone Performance
Communication is essential during multiplayer gaming.
The detachable microphone captures clear voice with minimal distortion.
Friends and teammates can hear speech naturally without excessive compression.
The microphone also reduces background noise reasonably well, making it suitable for streaming, online meetings, and voice chats.
Battery Life
Battery performance is one of the ROG Delta 2’s biggest advantages.
With RGB lighting disabled, ASUS rates the battery for up to 110 hours of use.
Actual battery life depends on:
- Volume level
- RGB lighting
- Wireless mode
- Bluetooth usage
The headset also supports fast charging.
A short 15-minute charge provides approximately 11 hours of gameplay, making it convenient for users who forget to charge their devices.

The headset supports multiple platforms through different connection methods.
Compatible devices include:
- Windows PCs
- Gaming laptops
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation 4
- Nintendo Switch
- Android smartphones
- iPhones
- Tablets
- Devices with a 3.5mm headphone jack

ASUS Armoury Crate Software
The ROG Delta 2 works with ASUS Armoury Crate software.
The software allows users to customize several settings, including:
- RGB lighting
- Equalizer presets
- Audio profiles
- Microphone settings
- Device updates
Although many users appreciate these customization options, some prefer using the headset without installing additional software.
