Main Game Changes
Perfect Parry now freezes the screen only if the player holds the correct direction. For example, hold down-back when blocking a low attack. This makes defense fair.
Breaking a throw now gives more Drive Gauge and more Super Art gauge. This helps players when they escape a grab.
Modern Controls got better. Players can use more jump attacks with the Assist button. Light attacks in Assisted Combos can now cancel into other moves. This gives more control to Modern players.
Character Updates
Ryu
Ryu’s Denjin Charge attacks are stronger. They are faster, hit more times, and give less block stun. He can pressure and combo better.
Akuma
Akuma’s moves are a little weaker. Some attacks recover slower and can be punished easier. He is still strong but less safe.
Juri
Juri’s pressure moves were too strong. Their hitboxes and hurtboxes are changed. Now rivals have better chances to fight back.
JP
Some of JP’s combos now deal a bit less damage. This keeps his long-range style balanced.
Mai Shiranui
Mai’s standing heavy kick has longer recovery and a bigger hurtbox. She cannot control mid and long range as easily.
Manon
Manon’s throws and timing are reworked. Her grapple style is now fairer.
E. Honda
Honda’s charge moves and pushback distance are adjusted. His pressure stays good but easier to counter.
New Content
A new fighter, Sagat, joins the game. He brings Tiger Shot and Tiger Uppercut moves, a new stage, and new outfits. Other fighters also got small balance tweaks to stay fair with Sagat.
Elena joined in an earlier update. Her healing and long-range attacks also caused a big balance patch for all fighters.
Season updates add new EX costume colors, avatar gear, and special events. These keep the Battle Hub fresh and fun.
Battle Hub Changes
Battle Hub is now faster and more stable. Matchmaking is smoother. Players can search replays by rank and master rate. Menu navigation is simpler.
Training Mode bug is fixed. Before, a late attack always hit when “Reversal” was set to “Do Nothing.” Fight Request now ends correctly when watching a replay.
Replay tools are better. Players can study matches frame by frame to improve.
Gameplay Fixes
Hitboxes and hurtboxes for many moves are fixed. Strange whiffs and unfair trades happen less.
Drive Impact moves on many fighters are adjusted. Light and medium normals have small changes in active frames and recovery. Combos feel smoother.
Projectiles now work the same for all fighters. Multi-hit fireballs and armor-breaking specials follow one rule for chip damage and scaling.
Effect on Competition
The street fighter 6 patch notes change fighter rankings. Zoning fighters like JP and Guile feel different because of Perfect Parry and projectile updates. Grapplers like Manon must play more carefully because throw escapes give more reward.
Ryu is stronger in mid-range fights. Akuma players must slow down and play safer.
Modern Control players can now jump and combo more like Classic players. This makes Modern controls better for serious matches.
Bug and Network Fixes
Bugs where characters slipped out of corners or stages are fixed. Sounds and visual effects now match combos.
Online matches are more stable. Rollback and desync problems are lower. Ranked and casual fights run smoother.
Seasonal Events
Special events add new Battle Hub designs and avatar items. Fighting passes now cost less and give more points. Players can unlock rewards faster.
Cross-game events bring new costumes and items from other Capcom games. These updates keep the game exciting and active.
Simple Recap
The street fighter 6 patch notes bring fair fights and fresh content. System changes like Perfect Parry fixes, new fighters like Sagat and Elena, better Modern Controls, and many character buffs and nerfs all help keep battles balanced and fun.
