Date Everything Characters – Simple Character Guide

Date Everything Characters are everyday objects turned into characters you can interact with in the game.

What Makes Them Unique

Every Date Everything Character starts as a mundane object — a lamp, wall, mirror, or even water — and becomes a “dateable” entity. You can develop one of three relationship paths with each: Love, Friendship, or Hate. After you build a non-hate relationship and raise your stats, you can “realize” them, turning them into humanlike forms.

Special & Hidden Characters

  • Doug is a secret character tied to existential dread — he appears if you stare at blank surfaces for a while.
  • Chance is a 20-sided die (D20) voiced by a guest actor, introduced as a more playful, meta addition to the cast.
  • Some characters only appear after you unlock rooms like the Attic or Crawlspace.
  • Others require certain conditions or time-based interactions to show up.

Tips for Tracking Them

  • Keep a checklist of which Date Everything Characters you have met.
  • Visit all rooms with your Dateviator, since some objects repeat or appear in multiple places.
  • Interact with the same object at different times or under different conditions (day/night, after other events).
  • Don’t skip side quests or room unlocking—new areas often house missing characters.
